Our Featured Pet...TEJAS

Meet TEJAS, pronounced TAY-haus, a real Texas name for this boy. Tejas is a lot of collie in a small package. This 50# boy is a bundle of energy and incredibly smart and eager to please. If you are looking for a dog for agility or freestyle dancing, this is guy is for you. He would also love to have an active, playful canine pal. Tejas is very sweet and gives kisses or nibbles your nose or ear. And he is great with kids and has good house manners and enjoys being brushed. He is an awesome collie who would love to join your active household.

Who We Are

We are the Jacksonville-area chapter of ColliesFlorida Rescue. The goal of ColliesFlorida Rescue is to aid, foster and rehome abandoned and neglected collies in Florida.
ColliesFlorida Rescue is a 501(c)(3) tax exempt organization based in Miami, FL.

We do not have a shelter. The collies in our program all live as family pets in foster homes. Our ability to help collies is limited by the number and availability of foster homes.

Fostering is Fun and Rewarding!!

Give fostering a try...and save the life of a homeless collie!

Families and local shelters contact us to take unwanted or stray collies. Collies, who may otherwise be destroyed at an over-crowded shelter, are temporarily placed with a Foster Family until a Forever Family is found. We only ask that the Foster Family provide the collie with food, shelter and love. We pay any needed medical expenses.

Go to our ColliesFlorida Rescue website and click at the top on Forms to submit a Foster Home Application and read the Guidelines.

Saving just one dog won't change the world.
But it surely will change the world for that one dog.
